Quilting with Rulers with Clementine
This 4 hour class is on a Saturday from 10-2pm and is an introduction to ruler work using both the Handi Quilter and a domestic machine. This is a hands on class so you can practice these techniques on your own sample.
The class will cover:
- Basic tension tips and tricks
- Introduction to the types of Handi Quilter rulers available
- Discussion of the different applications of these rulers such as dot to dot, in the ditch and traditional Free Motion Quilting (FMQ) designs using
the rulers as a guide.
- Clementine will show you the process of using rulers and how you can easily move from one shape to the next.
- Making frames to feature FMQ and the use of mirror pieced designs in negative space.
Requirements:
Your sewing machine, extension table ( preferable), ruler foot, thread and notions, sandwich of fabric with batting on to practice on.
