This 2 hour evening class runs in the evenings from 6-8pm for 4 weeks and would suit anyone who has purchased a new overlocker or who struggles with threading, tension and the general operation of their overlocker.
The students will complete a set of samples that will enable them to diagnose issues. They will also learn a range of techniques to maximise the use of their overlocker.
This class will suit owners of any brand or type of overlocker. The class size is limited so that you receive individualised attention from the teacher

Janet Elmes is a sewing teacher with over 10 years’ experience running her own sewing school in Sydney before her recent move to Canberra. Janet has experience teaching students from all walks of life: children to grandmothers, men and women, as well as tutoring Textile and Design and fashion college students. She has taught in a range of settings from one-on-one tuition to group workshops.
Janet is passionate about passing on the craft of dressmaking and thoroughly enjoys teaching absolute beginners to give them a firm foundation and understanding of dressmaking.
